Alice’s Adventures Under Ground, Lewis Carroll’s manuscript for Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

Who could have predicted the immense success that such an impromptu story, thought up of during a friendly stroll along the Thames river, would soon have?

The document, which is entirely handwritten and illustrated by Lewis Carroll, was drafted upon the request of young Miss Alice Liddell, the 'real Alice'. Carroll then gave it to her as a Christmas gift in 1862. 

A limited, large format, luxury edition

Hand-numbered from 1 to 1.000, each book is presented in a 14x10 inch slipcase, bound, and sewn using only the finest materials. The slipcase and cover ornamentations are gilt embossed, and the pages are printed using vegetal ink on environmentally friendly paper.
