General Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of application

These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed through our online store.

2. Contracting party and conclusion of contract

The purchase agreement is entered into with SP Books (Éditions des Saints Pères SARL, 7 rue Pasteur, 14340 Cambremer, France).

The presentation of products in the online store constitutes a non-binding catalogue and does not represent a legally binding offer. For technical reasons, product images may differ slightly in colour from the original items.

You may add products to your shopping cart without obligation and may review, modify or remove items at any time prior to submitting your order. By placing an order, you submit a binding offer to purchase the items contained in your cart.

An order confirmation will be sent by email upon receipt of your order. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of the offer. The contract is concluded only upon dispatch of the goods or upon receipt of a separate order acceptance or dispatch confirmation email.

If you choose to pay in advance, acceptance of the contract occurs upon confirmation of payment.

In the event that a product is unavailable or sold out, you will be informed without delay. Where possible, the order may be placed on hold. In the case of sold-out items, you may choose to cancel your order or request notification of a possible reprint or new edition.

The languages available for the conclusion of the contract are English and French. In the event of any inconsistency, the French version shall prevail.

The text of the contract is not stored by us.

3. Delivery conditions and costs

In addition to the stated product prices, shipping fees may apply. For international deliveries, customers are responsible for any applicable taxes, customs duties or import charges.

Delivery is made exclusively by postal or courier services. Collection of goods in person is not available.

4. Payment

The following payment methods are available:

4.1 Credit card

Your credit card will be charged upon dispatch of the goods.

4.2 PayPal

Payment is processed via PayPal. You must be registered with PayPal or create an account and confirm payment using your PayPal credentials. Further instructions are provided during the checkout process.

5. Retention of title

Goods remain our property until payment has been made in full.

6. Damage during shipping

If goods are delivered with visible transport damage, please notify the carrier without delay and contact us promptly via the contact page. Failure to do so does not affect your statutory rights, including warranty claims, but may assist us in asserting claims against the carrier or insurer.

7. Warranty

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, statutory warranty rights apply.

8. Customer service

For enquiries, complaints or claims, you may contact our customer service department by email at [email protected].

9. Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the product purchased. We shall not be liable for minor negligence affecting non-essential contractual obligations, except where mandatory statutory provisions apply.

10. Online dispute resolution

In accordance with Article 14(1) of Regulation (EU) No 524/2013, the European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR), accessible via this link. We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.

11. Minors

Products offered in our online store are intended exclusively for customers aged 18 years or older.

12. Severability

Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions be held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the economic purpose of the original provision.
